Team Flags
We are excited to add the “A” to our 
​E³ STEAM competitions!

Each team will enter the E³ competitions with a team flag to PLANT at their work site.  It will be a creative display that reflects the team and the competition. The winning designs will be recognized at the award’s ceremony and will be placed on the website at the conclusion of the competition.  
Congratulations to The Galactic Astroneers from Helena Intermediate School for designing the winning Space Shelter Flag.

REQUIREMENTS:

Size Requirement
  • No larger than  14 x 22”/ ½ a standard poster board (It can be any shape.)
  • You may use any material you wish. Examples include: foam board, fabric, poster board, etc.
 
Appearance
  • Attractiveness and Neatness of Flag
 
Explanation of the Flag
  • Description that explains each aspect of the flag  (colors, shapes, patterns, symbols, images, placement of symbols/images, etc.)
  • Must Reflect the Nature of the E³ Competition that the Team is Competing in:  Planetary Rover or  Space Shelter
  • This will be attached to the back of the team flag so judges can see it during the competitions.
 
Incorporate all Required Information
On the Front of the Flag:
  • Design that Captures the E³ Competition Theme
 
                On the Back of the Flag:
  • Team Name, School Name, and Team Members
  • Explanation of Flag 
 
Creativeness of Team Name and Flag Design
  • Uniqueness and purpose of the design
  • Must be ORIGINAL artwork!

IMPORTANT NOTE: You will need to buy a dowel rod and attach your flag for display. You will be PLANTING the dowel rod
down into modeling clay to secure it.
