This page will provide resources and some basic skills your students will need in order to be successful at E³. The list of resources we compiled are just a starting point for teachers. Feel free to search for ideas on your own. We highly encourage teachers to provide as much instruction as possible on the science behind each competition. Your efforts to teach your students these skills and concepts will create a more enjoyable and beneficial E³ experience.
In addition to the science concepts, teamwork plays a major role in the E³ competitions. Providing opportunities for students to cooperate, delegate, communicate, listen, share, plan, question, and respect each other will prevent low scores on competition day.

What teachers are saying...
"On the spot competitions are exciting and really challenge students to problem solve and think creatively."

"My students actually worked together and for the first time recognized  not only the importance of teamwork, but also the characteristics needed to be a team player."

"On the way to U of M yesterday, Amanda overheard two young gentlemen discussing where they would go to college. One young man was probably not one to have had that discussion before yesterday."

"The campus was beautiful and my students were able to experience engaging STEM activities and get a small taste of campus life."
